As I'm moving out of Kingston soon, I recently had to "Call Bell".
- I picked up the phone and dialed 310-2355 (310-BELL). I'm jealous. Why can't I get a number like that? Why does everyone have to dial 613 before MY number?
- Emily told me to tell her what I wanted. "Cancel my phone line," I said. "Cancel your phone services?" she asks. "Yup." I'm told to punch in my 10-digit number... which I do, and my call is promptly forwarded.
- Speaking to an actual person now, the customer service rep asks me my 10 digit phone number again. Way to go... She sounds like a female Russel Peters in full swing Indian accent.
- The phone service was quickly cancelled for May 1st. Gave her my Sympatico account name and email address as well, and my DSL service will be cancelled.
- No, I don't want a cell phone.
- Yes, I know I'm a loyal customer and I get to pay you more money in the future for more services. Yay. Bell One Bill. Yay, free cell phone calling to other Bell customers. Shame I won't get that!
- Took the phone line redirection service for $14-15 off. Guess people won't be reaching me at this number after May 1st. =)
- Yes, I'm perfectly happy with the service you gave me today. Scale from 1 to 10? What? 8 is "fast"? Shouldn't 5 be fast? Isn't that to be expected? Mark inflation clearly happens everywhere in Canada - not just in our schools.
Total call time, as per my phone when I hung up: 6 minutes, 55 seconds. I'm impressed.
